Community Engagement – Ilford Town Safer Neighbourhood Team

On 14th April 2026, PCSO Sethi and PCSO Khan from the Ilford Town Safer Neighbourhood Team attended a community engagement visit at Heron Court, a residential setting supporting elderly and vulnerable residents.

During the visit, officers engaged with residents and provided essential crime prevention advice, tailored to the needs of the community. Key topics discussed included mobile phone theft and bank follow-off incidents, with practical guidance shared on how to remain safe and vigilant.

Officers also updated residents on current Ilford Town ward priorities, outlining the ongoing work being carried out to address local concerns. This included information on recent enforcement activity, such as the seizure of e-bikes and e-scooters and the issuing of fixed penalty notices where appropriate.

The engagement was well received, with residents appreciating the opportunity to speak directly with local officers, ask questions, and receive reassurance. Visits such as this are vital in supporting vulnerable members of the community and strengthening trust and confidence in local policing.
